This expansion of both agriculture ad milling capacity is commissioned in 2009. it is the largest single investment outside the Mining sector in Zambia.

illlovo acquires a 50.9% share in zambia sugar Plc, and later increases it to 89.71%.

Zambia sugar Plc is listed on the Lusaka securities Exchange, Lusaka stock Exchange (LuSE).

The Company is privatised – Tate & Lyle (50.9%),CDC (31%) & GRZ-ZPT (18.1%).
