Zambia Sugar PLC is the producer of the renowned Whitespoon sugar brand and is the country’s leading sugar producer, serving the domestic and regional markets. The business’ wide range of sugar and sugar products include direct consumption sugar enriched with Vitamin A, brown and household sugar, refined sugar for industrial customers, syrup, speciality sugars and molasses sold as animal feed for both the local and export markets.

Zambia Sugar PLC is listed on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) with 25% held as free float taken up by institutional and private investors. 75% is directly held by ABF.
Zambia Sugar operates a very large estate 135 km south of the country’s capital city, Lusaka, with over 28 000 hectares under sugar cane cultivation. It is the country’s leading private sector employer and operates one of the world’s most successful Out-grower models, a collaboration of 403 out-growers made up of 24 Commercial farmers and 379 smallholders in 3 schemes. There are over 3 885 people employed by out-growers.
