Zambia Sugar PLC has reaffirmed its confidence in the future despite prevailing challenges, highlighting significant investments and strategic projects that continue to position the Company for sustainable growth.

The Company recently hosted its 2026 Half-Year Financial and Operational Results presentation, providing stakeholders with a comprehensive update on its performance, major achievements, and progress made against key strategic priorities.

Led by Managing Director Mr. Oswald Magwenzi and Financial Director Mr. Hezron Musonda, the engagement offered valuable insights into Zambia Sugar’s financial and operational performance, as well as the Company’s future outlook and long-term strategic direction.

During the presentation, management emphasized that despite the challenges experienced during the reporting period, the outlook for Zambia Sugar remains positive. The Company pointed to several multimillion-dollar capital investments already underway as evidence of its confidence in the future.

Among the major projects highlighted were the US$76 million Twazabuka Project, the Falling Film Evaporator, Turbo Alternator (TA) 6, and a number of agricultural development initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, increase production capacity, and strengthen the Company’s competitiveness.
